A starry sky, a ride through the night, the smell of pine trees and an open-air cinema - a memorable experience that Gold Gondola has prepared for its visitors. For the first time on Zlatibor, guests had the opportunity to enjoy a night gondola ride and to watch the domestic film "The Summer When I Learned to Fly".

The Gold Gondola started the summer season with outdoor recreational activities that offer visitors a unique opportunity to take a break from everyday life and recharge their batteries surrounded by nature. In addition to riding the longest gondola in the world, a variety of free events await them every day at the intermediate station and Tornik, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., which both children and adults will enjoy.

The Ministry of Tourism and Youth of the Republic of Serbia declared Zlatibor a tourist destination of the first category.

On January 24, the Zlatibor Gold gondola carried the 500,000th passenger, and not just one passenger, but the entire Mićunović family from Montenegro. This prodica is the jubilee guest of the longest gondola in the world, from which the countdown to the millionth passenger starts. From early in the morning, all employees of the Gold Gondola, in a festive atmosphere, were waiting for the moment when they would hear at the point of sale: "Congratulations! You are the 500,000th passenger of the Gold gondola and the lucky winner of the award".

In October this year, the Gold Gondola operated only on weekends and recorded a growth of 40% compared to the same period of the previous year, and the most visited was the last weekend when over 4100 passengers rode the gondola.

PE "Gold Gondola Zlatibor" participates in the digital summit Digital Hub Jahorina, which is held in Jahorina from October 9 to 12, and is intended for management structures of advanced business organizations, management of large and medium-sized companies, graphic and web designers , creatives, developers, engineers, marketing agencies and all those who want to be part of the digital culture, technology and business world. Through educational sessions, the most successful professionals from various fields will be dedicated to the individual talents, achievements and preferences of all participants of the first Digital Hub Jahorina.

Under the slogan "United for cleaner mountains", Zlatibor's "Gold Gondola" supported the World Day of Clean Mountains with a waste collection action on part of the gondola's route, which was supported by public companies and institutions from Zlatibor and Čajetina.

On Friday, August 19, it will be seven years since the foundation stone for the Zlatibor Gold Gondola was laid. This is the largest investment of the Municipality of Čajetina, worth 13.5 million euros.

The presentation of the latest trends in marketing, technology and business was in the center of interest of representatives of the Gold Gondola Zlatibor, who during the past weekend participated in one of the largest business conferences in Southeast Europe - Spark.me. Representatives of Gold Gondola, whose creativity leads to success, closely followed the presentation in order to take advantage of the moment and improve business with innovative content.

We wish to have as many satisfied gondola visitors as possible, and to respond to their needs in the best possible way, we constantly strive to improve our offer and the quality of services. We are proud of over 350,000 transported passengers, whom we are thankful for the trust we have shown. To make the number of satisfied visitors to the Zlatibor gondola as high as possible, and for satisfied tourists to return for new rides, the company "Gold Gondola" will continue to improve its offer and quality of services this year as well. Therefore, preparations and implementation of plans for 2022 have already begun, in which an important item will be the purchase of new cabins. "Procurement of cabins is one of the activities we are planning for this year, and the funds for that have been secured. Our goal is to shorten the waiting time for cabins, although now the wait is less than a minute, but also to increase the capacity of our gondola. The figures on visits and gondola rides are really impressive. Only in the first 20 days of January, about 30,000 people drove, and we have already exceeded the figure of 300,000 in the first year of operation, which is a fantastic number; and - let's move on," said Bojana Božanić, director of JP "Gold Gondola".

In the previous days, the management of the PE "Gold Gondola Zlatibor" visited the complete route in order to prepare and implement plans for 2022. In order to have as many satisfied gondola visitors as possible, and to respond to their needs in the best possible way, we are constantly striving to improve our offer and quality of services. We plan to buy 20 new cabins, to build roof over the mechanical part of middle station and the upper station. We also plan to continue works on the administrative building at the gondola lower station.
