Official Opening of the Winter Season

JP Gold Gondola Zlatibor, together with the Zlatibor Tourist Organisation, Trend Marketing agency, and the Golden Panorama complex, officially opened the 2025/2026 winter season with the Winter Opening: Zlatibor Dual Experience event. This occasion symbolically marked the start of another winter season on the world’s longest panoramic gondola, featuring a festive atmosphere, the premiere of a new video presentation, and the introduction of a new experiential concept that will further enrich Zlatibor’s tourist offer throughout the winter.

Early January Events

As winter is synonymous with Zlatibor, it is the perfect time to reveal some of the experiences awaiting visitors at the Gold Gondola. Once you have recovered from New Year’s celebrations, on 2 January 2026, guests can enjoy “Aperitif in the Heights,” featuring bombardini and mulled wine, which will be repeated on 9 and 16 January.

On Saturday, 3 January, an After Ski Party will be held, serving doughnuts from 11:00 to 14:00, with deep house music played by a DJ from 11:00 to 15:00. Music lovers of other genres can enjoy the following day, Sunday, 4 January, in the café chill zone from 11:00 to 15:00, accompanied by music and a fine selection of wines from Zvonko Bogdan Winery.

A particularly significant date for JP Gold Gondola Zlatibor is 6 January, marking the company’s 10th anniversary, followed by a corporate celebration at the main station on 11 January, commemorating five years of operation.

Retro Party and Special Programmes

For those nostalgic for the 1980s and 1990s, a retro party will take place on 10 January, with a DJ playing the biggest hits of the era. Visitors will also have the chance to enjoy fritters from 11:00 to 14:00 and participate in a Nordic skiing workshop suitable for both children and adults.

The Serbian New Year will be celebrated with a retro day, featuring a large DJ party. On 17 January, the DJ will play hits from Ex-Yu rock and synth-pop, accompanied by hot potato snacks and cold beer. Visitors can also try a ski test or a fun Cornhole game. The following day, 18 January, cocktails and Jägermeister await guests in the chill zone.

From then on, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, visitors to the Gold Gondola and the Gold Gondola Bar on Tornik will have the opportunity to participate in a prize game. Participants can win valuable prizes, such as gondola ride tickets or products from the Gondola Shop. To take part, simply photograph yourself in front of the themed Gondolina photo frame and tag @gold.gondola on social media.

February: Love and Romantic Experiences

In February, couples celebrating Valentine’s Day on 14 February can enjoy a themed DJ party, with two charming photo corners available for memorable pictures. The Sretenje holiday will be marked by a daytime matinee in front of the Gold Gondola Showroom, continuing through 15 February. Many more events will follow, but we won’t reveal them all just yet — stay tuned!

Meanwhile, our romantic cabins continue to operate, and almost every ride has ended in a proposal. What could be more romantic than saying “yes” neither on land nor in the sky, but with breathtaking Zlatibor landscapes around you? After such an experience, you can truly say you were “among the clouds” or on cloud nine” when you got engaged!

Opening Hours and Visitor News

We would like to inform all visitors that during the winter season, the Gold Gondola operates from 09:00 to 15:00, with the last ride from Tornik at 16:00.

A new loyalty programme is also being prepared, which will operate via a mobile app and offer regular guests a range of benefits. More information will soon be available on the official Gold Gondola website and social media channels.
