Gold Gondola continues to improve its offer and quality of service

To make the number of satisfied visitors to the Zlatibor gondola as high as possible, and for satisfied tourists to return for new rides, the company "Gold Gondola" will continue to improve its offer and quality of services this year as well. Therefore, preparations and implementation of plans for 2022 have already begun, in which an important item will be the purchase of new cabins.

"Procurement of cabins is one of the activities we are planning for this year, and the funds for that have been secured. Our goal is to shorten the waiting time for cabins, although now the wait is less than a minute, but also to increase the capacity of our gondola. The figures on visits and gondola rides are really impressive. Only in the first 20 days of January, about 30,000 people drove, and we have already exceeded the figure of 300,000 in the first year of operation, which is a fantastic number; and - let's move on," said Bojana Božanić, director of JP "Gold Gondola".

60 million dinars have been earmarked for the purchase of 20 new cabins. The wish of the employees is to enrich the new cabins with additional facilities to make the panoramic sightseeing even more pleasant for the passengers. In the following period, construction of a canopy will begin at the last station of the gondola, which will protect passengers and employees from precipitation, but also the strong sun. The next phase would be the construction of catering facilities at the very top.

"I sincerely hope that we will finish the work on the planning documents this year and in the next year, 2023, we will start with the arrangement of the entire area on top of Tornik mountain, which belongs to the Municipality, and is given to the use of the "Gold Gondola". The next activity is the continuation of the works at the starting station, where it is planned to complete the administrative building. I expect that we will continue with the works in the spring", adds Božanić.

The successful year of operation of "Gold Gondola" has set high standards both for this year and for the ones that follow, says Bojana Božanić. That's why long-term plans are being made, which include the successful implementation of activities, among the most important items - is the arrangement of the intermediate station, which will require the allocation of larger funds from the budget of the municipality of Čajetina, but also some others, such as the construction and marking of pedestrian and bicycle paths from the starting point to the intermediate station.

"In the past year, tours have already started that nature lovers use to go in one direction by gondola and return on foot in the other. We will get involved in promoting such activities. We have a lot of plans! This year will be a continuation of the good work and I believe that we will surpass the figures I spoke about in 2022."
