Mount Zlatibor is located in southwestern Serbia, near the border with Bosnia and Herzegovina, occupying the area between 17° 14’ and 17° 28́’eastern latitude and 40° 36́’ northern longitude. It spreads in the direction of the Dinaric mountain range, from northwest to southeast, 55 km long and 22 km wide.
Zlatibor is 230 km from Belgrade (Serbia’s capital), 33 km from Novi Sad, and 250 km from Montenegro’s capital Podgorica.
You can reach Zlatibor travelling along the E-760 Belgrade-Petrovac road. Apart from being connected with Montenegro via the main road going to the Adriatic coast, Zlatibor is also connected with Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Zlatibor is 160 km from Bjeljina and 400 km from Banja Luka. It is around 150 km from the international road E-75 (Corridor 10). Corridor 11, which is currently being constructed, will connect Zlatibor with Corridor 10, making it possible to travel to this wonderful mountain much more quickly and conveniently.
Zlatibor bus station is located in the town centre, and has excellent connections with other cities across Serbia. Some of the cities with regular bus connections to Zlatibor are Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Subotica, Sombor, Kragujevac, Vranje, and Leskovac.
There are also bus lines linking Zlatibor to other cities across the region, such as Skopje, Podgorica, Herceg Novi, Žabljak, Pljevlja, and Bijelo Polje.

The Belgrade-Bar railway passes through the mountain. Užice railway station, 25 km from Zlatibor, is the best for those visiting Zlatibor as from there they can catch the local bus to the centre of Zlatibor. There are 6 trains daily running from Belgrade to Uzice, including domestic and international lines in addition to the 15 busses serving the same route.
